Tenor

American tenor, Christopher Fülling, based in Kansas City and Los Angeles, performs early sacred music as well as contemporary music theater. He specializes in 17thC and Gregorian Chant repertoires which he has performed across Europe and recorded with conductors including Gabriel Garrido, Daniel Reuss, and Eugene Liven d’Abelardo. He also performs modern opera and experimental music theatre roles, including rock opera, from the Bielefeld Opera to Burning Man. Recently, he has performed solo staged works of artsong repertoire: Doktor Prospero and Männerliebe und Leben.

Educated at Princeton and CalArts, he move to Europe in 1999 as Beebe Fellow to study Baroque voice with Max von Egmond and Peter Kooy and continued his studies in Medieval music with Eric Mentzel. He is also a theatre director whose ensemble Teatro Korazon is based in Kansas CIty (after co-founding the Art Monastery in Italy and The Alchemy in Los Angeles). [Full CV & audio examples below]
